This Horned Lark hopped from rock to rock looking for a place to perch.
It was quite difficult to focus on the restless lark but at some moment the bird gave me an opportunity to take its photo before it took off.

Horn Larks live on Antelope Island year-round but are not often seen there.
The last time I was lucky enough to photograph this bird was two years ago in June, 2022. On that special day, the Horned Lark was kind enough to sing me one of its beautiful songs, but during our recent meeting the bird was silent. The mating season has not yet begun.

When I saw a male Horned Lark I thought how nice it would be if he would continue to perch on a shrub and would sing for me from his heart.
The Lark didn’t take long to wait. In a few seconds the whole world was listening to his sonorous songs.
This is my first Horned Lark. I have never seen this bird before on Antelope Island. Apparently, Horned Larks are living there.
Generally, life is good!
