Farmington Bay is partially frozen. Seeing the Heron in the middle of frozen land was unusual. He looked miserable and lonely and I felt sorry for him. Great Blues adapted to our cold winters, they chose not to migrate.
Ready to leave this place.
A slightly awkward move that looks like the beginning of dance and in a few seconds the Heron will take off.
Generally, life is good!

Herons can really be an impressive sight. During the winter we usually also have several of them at a lake close by, really nice to have a walk and see them 🙂
