“To Freight Cars in the Air”

Old yellow freight car. Nothing special. Always at the same place and frozen in time.

I learned today about William Carlos Williams, a poet and a physician. His primary occupation was a family doctor but he also succeeded as a poet. He practiced medicine in day time and wrote his poems at night.

Here is one of his poems “To Freight Cars in the Air” from the series “The Decent Winter”.
